Terms of Use

Last updated October 30, 2026

These terms cover your use of Awkward Silence, the website at awkwardsilence.app and the iPhone and Android apps, operated by The Phalanx Project LLC (“we”). By using Awkward Silence you agree to them.

Your account

Use an email address that’s yours, and keep access to it, because that’s how you sign in. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time in Settings.

Purchases

The unlock and the expansion packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. All Packs includes every pack we add later.

The cards

The cards and other writing in Awkward Silence belong to The Phalanx Project LLC. Use them at your table, and share a card with someone you love. Please don’t copy or republish them in bulk, or resell them. Scripture quotations are from the King James Version, which is in the public domain.

Awkward Silence is for conversation. It doesn’t replace the counsel of your pastor, a doctor, or a counselor.

Using Awkward Silence well

Don’t misuse the service: no attempts to break into accounts or systems, to get around purchases, or to scrape the cards. We may suspend an account that does.

The iPhone app

If you use the iPhone app, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and The Phalanx Project LLC, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.

No warranty

We work to keep Awkward Silence available and to get it right, but it’s provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, The Phalanx Project LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we’ll change the date above, and the updated terms apply from then on.
